TDAC: the digital arrival card before entry
Gather your details before filling it in, then save the QR-code document on your device.

Start with these three things
- TDAC submits arrival information in advance. The official page states that it is free.
- The official FAQ allows submission from three days before arrival. Submit a new card for each entry.
- You can save and present the document containing the QR code on your device.
Steps
- Select the arrival card on the official website and enter your passport and personal details.
- Enter your travel information, accommodation in Thailand and required health declaration.
- Review the preview, enter an email address for receiving the record, and submit.
- Retrieve the record and save the document containing the QR code on your device.
What to prepare
- Prepare your passport, itinerary and flight or other travel details, accommodation in Thailand, health-declaration information and an email address you can access.
Planning tips (not official rules)
- Keep the accommodation address from your booking beside you, and compare the spelling and numbers with your passport while entering them.
Where to ask
Thai Immigration’s official TDAC website
Start from the official guidance at https://tdac.immigration.go.th.
If you cannot resolve a problem using the system, ask airport or Immigration officers.
Things to watch for
Planning tips (not official rules)
- Before starting with a service advertised in search results, check that the address is the official tdac.immigration.go.th. If a charge appears, check which service it is for.
Before you start
TDAC covers arrival information for non-Thai nationals entering by air, land or sea. The official FAQ says it is not required for transit without passing immigration. First establish whether your journey involves entering Thailand.
Planning tips (not official rules)
Gather passport details, flight number, arrival date and accommodation address before leaving for the departure airport. If handling family submissions, review each person separately to avoid mixing passports or itineraries.
Review carefully before submitting
"Tip" marks a planning suggestion, not an official rule.
Tip Check letters and digits in the passport number, name order, arrival date and email address. Even if you use automatic scanning, compare the captured text with the passport.
If information changes or is incorrect, check the official update function. The FAQ explains that if it cannot be corrected in the update screen, you can submit a new card with the correct information. The latest valid submission is used.
If the record is missing or the screen will not work
Printing is not mandatory; the QR-code document can be saved on your device. The official guidance advises saving an error screen and asking airport or Immigration officers when the system cannot be used.
Planning tips (not official rules)
You may also carry a printout in case your battery runs out. Obtain consent before asking a companion to store the record, and do not share documents containing passport details publicly.
Open the saved file once after submitting and check that you can retrieve it. Remember its location on your device rather than relying only on your inbox while travelling.
Rules can change. Confirm the requirements in Thai Immigration’s official TDAC guidance.
